Ode to Weekends

The weekend is special,
It is a brief moment of freedom.
During the weekend, I am no longer bound to boring classrooms.
During the weekend, my back doesn’t hurt from sitting in hobbit-sized chairs.
During the weekend, I don’t have to get out of bed at an unreasonable hour.
During the weekend, I don’t have to think about school or grades.
During Sunday night, the weekend takes a turn for the worse,
There will be five days of school before the next weekend.
