Michon J.

Sorry

I am your little sister
But yet you left me
You say it is all in my head
But yet it could kill me
You shout and curse me
Tell me to shut up and to get out of  your face
Daddy yells at me, not you
Even though you’re older
He always takes your side
Be the bigger person
That’s all they say
Tears stream down my face as I apologize
I hug you and tell you I still love you
Even though you disown me
Your body is stiff as a board
They say for you to meet me halfway
You hug me
“There”
I cry even more
Feeling like a big baby
I ask myself why
Why did I even bother?
I know how you are, you’re as cold as ice
You hug me
“Do you have anything to say?”
You cry and apologize, not knowing why
That night has come and gone
But I’m sorry
I’m sorry you don’t understand
I’m sorry because all the respect I had for you…
Is Gone
