The One and Only

This is the one and only place I ever want to be.
Its dense desert dances with tourists.
As I step off the plane,
The hot air greets me with
Pollution, poverty, and pandemonium.
The air warns me of
The scorching sun, sandstorms, and sunburns.

I walk through ancient history
 Each time I am here,
Beauty bursts through the shimmers of sunlight.
Serenity, peace and composure
Emerge amidst chaos;
Gracefulness exists,
As giants crush the white, clear sand,
As they lure the sand deep into the sea,
And send it crashing back to shore.

Egypt is the one and only place
I’ll ever want to live.
