The Still Water

On a sunny afternoon the sun beams down
upon the water warming it up-
Blow up floats sailing from end to end and side to side
as if gliding across a sheet of ice

Tiny insects pleading for their lives-

Wind brings pine needles and leaves,
landing gently on the baby blue silent water
