Christopher Hart

Procrastination

Don’t do it!

Don’t burn that midnight oil.

Save it

For a happier occasion.

So please

Choose now instead.

The old adage pleads:

Don’t put off

until tomorrow

What you could do

today.

But it is ignored.

Back away from

The minions

Distraction and Procrastination.

Back away from

That glowing computer screen,

That portal

To a world of entertainment.

Back away from

The TV screen,

Wayward characters

Beckoning you

To your demise.

The flames

Seethe and roil

At your impending

Doom.

Your inability to resist

The tugs and pulls

Of Distraction and

Procastination.
