Apology Poem

I am sorry for the painting that I broke
You left as soon as I spoke

The look on his face
It showed nothing but disgrace

The artist was none other than my father
He walked away and didn’t even bother

A scold, a punishment maybe?
The silence hurt me oh so greatly

I am sorry for what I have done
After all I am your one and only son

Please forgive me for I have made a mistake
Please forgive me, please…for my sake…
