The Pressure is There

The pressure is there,
Greater than just a dare.
Too late to repair,
The poor mother's nightmare.
Dreams of being a millionaire are now in despair,
Now more realistic is the thought of welfare.
The sad part is, he is so unaware,
Of all of the terror, resting there.
It's not that he doesn't care,
But he is declining to share.
How he feels when Mary Jane isn't there,
He needs more help than just a prayer.
You could tell from the graying of mommy's hair,
That Mary Jane caused more than a scare.
It was greater than a dare,
It is too late to repair.
It was the poor mother's nightmare,
The pressure is there.
Beware.
