Summers at the Cape

The tide coming in so swiftly before I knew it,

The magnificently carved castle has already fallen in,

The salty presence in the air the sand airborne everywhere.

The summer is a time to fool around and have fun,

The cape is a wonderful place to swim under the sun,

The season of baseball, happiness, and joy,

The time when school ends a time to just be a boy.

The memories at the beach so vivid yet so blurry,

The summer is relaxing no need to hurry,

In the ocean or at the pool, no stress, no homework, no school.
