The Sun

A supreme ruler
That sits in the distant heavens
Who surveys the land with his blazing gaze,
And scorches the Earth with invisible flames.
Roaring while awake, and passive while asleep.
But when clouds of gloom envelop the world, and rain
Despair on its residents, they cry in anguish,
Until the king will take his sword of light,
And pierce the haze with all his might,
To bring hope back
To his people.

And when the cover of night
Blankets the helpless world,
And brings fear to its residents,

The
Sun will rise
As a beacon of hope,
To bring hope back to his people.
