July's Blazing Heat

Do you remember those summer nights?
Forever chasing away, July’s blazing heat.
The sky would dim to a deep blue,
An envelope of indigo, sealing our innocence

Sprinting down Bloomfield Street,
The quiet breeze kissed our cheeks.
Cobblestone beneath our bare feet,
We peered up into the immediate darkness, a vast expanse.
Even though we only saw a single glimmering star
We could not help but feel invincible.
