Rain

Rain, glorious rain
Buckets from the sky, dumping on all who dare defy it.
Dripping, dropping, soaking, sopping
Chaos as tumultuous beads strike the ground.
Blinding, roaring, flying, soaring
It drenches all
Sparing none from its soggy world.

Yet as it flows around and puddles abound
There is peace.
The mayhem of the clouds
Drowns out the rest of the world
Leaving me.
Only me.
